Let’s first ask the question --what is Affiliate Marketing -- an affiliate is a subsidiary, associate, auxiliary. Affiliate marketing is a process of working with a merchant to promote products/services.  This paradigm is a partnership between merchant and marker -- the merchant pays a portion of their sales revenue to a person acting as an affiliate, if the sale is a result of the affiliate's promotion to the products/services offered by the merchant.
